An early morning fire on Monday destroyed a vacant house owned by the estate of a deceased individual, on Lavelle Avenue in New Fairfield. Firefighters responded around 3:20 yesterday morning and found the structure fully engulfed in flames. Crews from Sherman and Putnam Lake, N.Y., provided mutual aid to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the New Fairfield Fire Marshal’s Office and the Connecticut State Police Fire & Explosion Investigation Unit.
