Wooster High Student Named Semifinalist

Anselm Juan, a student at Wooster High School in Danbury, has been named a semifinalist in the 70th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Juan is now in the running for one of nearly 7,000 scholarships worth a combined $26 million, which will be awarded next spring. About 95% of semifinalists typically reach finalist status, with half earning the prestigious Merit Scholar title. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation, founded in 1955, partners with businesses, colleges, and donors to fund the program and promote academic excellence across the country.
