Danbury schools are facing a significant challenge as over 70 percent of students failed to meet grade-level proficiency in math and English language arts for the 2023-2024 school year. According to the latest statewide testing data, only 30 percent of students in grades 3-8 scored at or above proficient levels in ELA, with even lower results in math at 26.6 percent.
