Ridgefield Redevelopment Plan Studied

A Ridgefield property owner is seeking a zone change to build four townhomes on 2.6 acres near Prospect Ridge. The homes would sit behind a converted barn and a Victorian house with three apartments, which will remain. Some residents have raised concerns about overdevelopment, but the applicant’s attorney says the plan is an alternative to a larger affordable housing project. The Planning & Zoning Commission will continue the public hearing (tomorrow/Tuesday). Approval would expand the Main Street Design District, allowing for higher-density housing.
