Danbury Facing Job Losses At Year’s End

Hologic, a Massachusetts-based medical technology company, has announced plans to close its Danbury facility by December 20th, resulting in the layoff of 86 employees. The closure comes as part of the company’s decision to relocate operations to Newark, Delaware. The Danbury site will see 71 workers lose their jobs at the end of December, with an additional 15 laid off by mid-February. Hologic is offering relocation options to the new facility.
