Differences Surface In Danbury School Administrator’s Resignation

School officials now say a former Danbury schools administrator who resigned in June, citing “family obligations” in his resignation letter, actually stepped down after a complaint surfaced, alleging that he offered a teacher money to impersonate someone and take an online statistics class. Hired in 2022 to build business partnerships for the district’s career academies, Brent Dean, according to school officials, stepped down just two days before a scheduled meeting about the issue. The teacher reported Dean’s request to the district, leading to an investigation. So far, the findings of that investigation have not been disclosed.
