Danbury Police Update Cold Case Investigation

The cases, which had gone cold, were revisited by the Special Victims Unit after advancements in investigative resources became available. Authorities identified David Coffey, a suspect who lived in the area during the time of the incidents. An arrest warrant was issued, and on Tuesday, Coffey was taken into custody and charged with first-degree kidnapping related to a 1989 case. He is being held on a $750,000 bond.
