A Brookfield man got a suspended 364-day jail sentence and two years of conditional discharge after pleading guilty to animal cruelty. 28 year old Melwah Campos was arrested following an incident where he left his three-year-old dog outside on a deck in cold and rainy conditions for several hours. Police found the dog shivering and without shelter when they responded to a neighbor’s complaint in March. Campos has a prior history of animal-related offenses in New York.
