Homeowners, renters, and business owners in Fairfield, Litchfield, and New Haven counties have two weeks left to apply for federal disaster aid to cover uninsured or underinsured damage from the historic floods of August. The deadline for assistance from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration is Tuesday, November 19. Applications can be submitted in person at the Southbury Town Hall Disaster Recovery Center, online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov, or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362. You can also visit www.SBA.gov/disaster. SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan program for businesses remains open until June 20, 2025.
