A Ridgefield woman was struck and killed by a car while crossing the street in Portland, Maine, Wednesday night. Police identified the victim as 66-year-old Cynthia Karst. The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. Authorities say a 36-year-old Portland man was driving the car, and no charges have been filed. The Portland Police Department’s accident reconstruction team is investigating.
