Fire crews battled a 2.5-acre brush fire early Saturday in Redding’s Centennial Watershed State Forest. The fire, fueled by shifting winds and rough terrain near the Saugatuck Reservoir, took multiple local departments to contain. Redding Fire & EMS credited teamwork for stopping it from spreading further. Firefighters continued monitoring hot spots throughout the day.
