Firefighters in Southbury on Wednesday, responded to a call about a kitchen fire and two other calls about carbon monoxide. The kitchen fire was at a home in Heritage Village, where crews were able to extinguish a flames that broke out in a microwave oven. Nobody was hurt. Shortly after that incident that took place just after 4pm Wednesday, firefighters answered two calls about carbon monoxide on the other side of town. One involved a wood stove. The other involved high levels of carbon monoxide in a large structure. Both were ventilated, and nobody was hurt in either incident.
