Donald Taylor Jr., the owner of Taylor Farm in Danbury, has withdrawn his offer to sell the 30-acre property to the city. Instead, he’s seeking permission to sell a 1.1-acre parcel to a tenant. In 2008, Taylor and city leaders agreed that the land would be preserved for farming and open space, with the city holding purchase rights. Mayor Roberto Alves now says he plans to honor Taylor’s wishes, and the City Council will discuss details of the potential new sale.
