Infowars Sale Halted After Judge Questions Transparency

A federal judge is now considering throwing out a $1.75 million winning bid for Alex Jones’ bankrupt Infowars business. First United American Companies, which offered twice as much to keep Jones as host, claims the winning bid was rigged through a deal between the humor news site The Onion and Sandy Hook families. The losing bidder argues the families unfairly waived part of their payout to boost The Onion’s offer, saying that the auction lacked transparency. A bankruptcy judge will eventually decide if the auction result stands. Meanwhile, Jones remains on-air.
