More seismic activity this week here in Connecticut. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded Wednesday night near East Haddam. Experts say it occurred at a depth of 2.5 kilometers around 7:30 Wednesday night. Residents in nearby towns, including East Hampton and Colchester, reported hearing loud booms. It marks the second earthquake in Connecticut this week, following a smaller 1.3 magnitude quake in Stamford on Monday.
