The case against a Florida man who had been charged with animal cruelty in the 2022 death of a Chihuahua in Newtown, has been dismissed. David Czerniawski completed a court diversionary program for first-time offenders, allowing the charges to be dropped. The dog, which died from blunt force trauma, was the subject of a police investigation after Czerniawski brought it to a local veterinary hospital. His attorney has now confirmed the dismissal following the successful completion of the program.
