Ridgefield officials have adjusted plans for a new building to house the district’s Alternative High School and transition program. The town now looks to build an 8,000- to 9,000-square-foot school on town-owned land at 34 Halpin Lane. The facility will accommodate both programs and is expected to open by fall 2025. Town leaders say this location is more cost-effective, allowing for future expansion. Construction is set to begin soon, with the town planning to submit architectural plans next month. The school is estimated to cost $2.9 million.
