Newtown is remembering William Lavery, a retired judge and dedicated public servant, who passed away at 86. Lavery, known for his kindness and commitment, served as chief judge of Connecticut’s Appellate Court and was involved in over 4,000 appeals during his career. Lavery is survived by his wife, eight children, and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at St. Rose of Lima Church.
