Following another similar incident in our area, a YouTuber showed up to do some videoing at another area Town Hall on Tuesday, prompting signs to be put up and some areas to be roped off, indicating where unauthorized visitors are not allowed. The police were called in to Mallory Town Hall in Sherman, but no one was charged after police said the man was permitted to be there. It’s all an apparent growing trend of so-called “First Amendment Advocates” who record their visits to public buildings and then post them on social media. Recently, similar visits have occurred in Danbury and in Ridgefield.
