Danbury firefighters responded to a house fire Thursday morning at 2 Crown Street. Crews arrived to find flames pouring from a second-floor window and quickly called a second alarm. A passerby helped the home’s only occupant and her dog escape safely without injury. The fire was brought under control in 20 minutes. Danbury EMS and police assisted with medical coverage and traffic control. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
