Health officials in New York State are searching for a couple who may have been exposed to rabies after dropping off an injured black cat at Yonkers Animal Hospital last week. The cat later tested positive for the fatal virus. The Westchester County Department of Health says the two people didn’t leave contact information. Rabies is deadly if untreated, but vaccines can prevent infection if administered within 14 days. The man wore an orange camouflage jacket, and the woman had a black coat and pom-pom hat. Anyone with information is urged to contact the New York State Health Department.
