The historic Baptist Church of Danbury, founded in 1785, has purchased a new home in Brookfield for $1.1 million. The church, known for its ties to composer Charles Ives and a pastor’s role in Abraham Lincoln’s funeral, will begin services at the Tower Road location on January 5. The move comes after selling its Danbury property to make way for a city preschool expansion.
