Governor Lamont Asks For Minute Of Silence On Thursday

Governor Ned Lamont has signed an executive order declaring Thursday as a Day of Remembrance here in Connecticut to honor the late President Jimmy Carter. The order requests a statewide minute of silence at 10am Thursday, coinciding with Carter’s funeral at the Washington National Cathedral. Lamont is urging state offices, schools, and universities to participate. President Joe Biden has also declared Thursday a National Day of Mourning.
