A Florida man has pleaded guilty in federal court here in Connecticut after a failed ransom plot tied to a couple’s carjacking and kidnapping last August in Danbury. 19-year-old Michael Rivas admitted to kidnapping and conspiracy charges. Prosecutors say he and five others targeted the couple in Danbury, believing their son held a large cryptocurrency fortune. Rivas faces up to 14 years in prison at sentencing in May.
