According to the most recent US Census figures, Connecticut saw a slight increase in population in 2022, but that increase was actually less than 0.1%… despite reports of a high-demand for real estate market and an influx of New Yorkers seeking a little more room in the suburbs. All in all, the total population of Connecticut increased by just 2,850 people in 2022… much, much less than the 66,000 new residents who moved in between 2020 and 2021. The state with the largest population growth in 2022 was Florida. New York was the state with the largest population decline.
