Police now say it was a confrontation over a woman in Brookfield that led to a shooting at Happy Landings Park last Wednesday. Gerald Rutledge of Southbury and Rithy Kay of Danbury were arrested after a physical altercation escalated, resulting in two people suffering gunshot wounds. Both men face charges, and the woman involved was also injured.
