The former director of a Connecticut addiction and mental health nonprofit with statewide reach will spend two years in prison for stealing nearly $400,000 from the organization. Prosecutors say 51-year-old Michele Devine used grant money meant for drug treatment and youth programs to fund vacations, home appliances, and personal shopping sprees. Devine also altered receipts to hide her spending. The judge also ordered her to pay back the stolen money, serve three years of supervised release, and complete 300 hours of community service.
