New Milford is considering a proposal to transform the historic 50 East Street building into a cultural center with housing for artists. Plans call for restoring the former school building, incorporating an arts space and 21 affordable housing units for artists in residence. The proposal also includes a new three-story building with 40 more affordable apartments.
