A warning today from police to be on alert for phone scams. They say someone is using the names of actual New Fairfield Police officers and providing information to folks in exchange for gift cards. However, police say the information is false. They say the scammers call from numbers that appear to be coming from the local police department. If you have received such as call requesting any form of payment, you are asked to report it to the New Fairfield Police Department.
