brookfield K9 Officer diagnosed with cancer

The Brookfield police’s K-9 has been diagnosed with cancer diagnosis, but the dog continues to work, and his handler says that’s because it’s what Major loves to do. K-9 Major… who has been part of the police department in Brookfield since November 2017, has been diagnosed with lymphoma. While the diagnosis is not all that uncommon among dogs, and Major now has a life expectancy of between one and three months, his partners at the police force are hopeful he will beat those odds. Major is 8 years old, and he has worked alongside his handler, Cpl. Joseph Kyek, for more than five years, and they will continue to patrol together as long as Major is capable of doing it.
