The Candlewood Lake Authority has received a $27,553 grant from Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to educate boaters on the dangers of invasive plants and animals. Funded through the state’s Aquatic Invasive Species stamp program, the initiative aims to protect Candlewood Lake, a key natural resource and economic driver in western Connecticut.
