The City of Danbury will begin picking up live Christmas trees next Tuesday, January 3rd. In order to have your LIVE tree picked up, it must be placed by the curbside, and everything must be removed from the tree. Trees will not be picked up that contain decorations, tinsel, lights, tree stands, plastic bags, or other items. No artificial trees will be picked up… the offer is for LIVE REAL trees only. The program will run through January 31st, weather permitting, but there is no set schedule for the free program. Live Christmas trees can also be dropped off free of charge for Danbury residents, as “wood waste” at Ferris Mulch Products, on Plumtrees Road.
