A University of Connecticut professor faces first-degree larceny charges after allegedly using nearly $60,000 in school funds for personal vacations. UConn police say Sherry Zane, a women’s studies professor, took 19 trips over two years, including to Disney World and Ireland, falsifying travel forms for herself and her family. Zane has now been arrested. She is currently free on bond and she denies the allegations. UConn meanwhile, is now tightening its travel policies.
