A former Danbury man, 53 year old David Coffey, who was charged in the 1989 kidnapping of an 11-year-old girl, has had his case continued to March 26 due to a large amount of evidence. Coffey was arrested in October after a long investigation linked him, via DNA, to the cold case. He now faces charges from the kidnapping, abduction, and assault that took place more than 35 years ago. For now, Coffey remains on parole from a Georgia shooting and he is being held in custody on a $750,000 bond.
