Casual dining chain Red Robin is considering closing up to 70 underperforming locations across the U.S. as part of a larger effort to boost profitability. The Colorado-based company, which operates nearly 500 restaurants, reported a net loss of $77.5 million in 2024—more than triple the previous year’s loss. Red Robin has three locations in Connecticut. Company officials have not yet specified which locations may close or when decisions will be made.
