Movie Filmed Locally Set For Release

The locally made horror film Candlewood is hitting select theaters before its streaming release. Filmed in New Milford, the movie follows a family moving to Connecticut during the pandemic, only to be haunted by eerie urban legends tied to Lover’s Leap and the submerged town of Jerusalem beneath Candlewood Lake. Directed by Emmy winner and New Milford native Myke Furhman, Candlewood is playing at theaters in Connecticut and New York before its digital debut next Tuesday on Amazon, Apple TV+, and Fandango at Home. Furhman calls the project a “full-circle” moment, bringing his vision to life in his hometown.
