A woman has been convicted in connection to a Mexican timeshare fraud that impacted at least 50 victims, including two from right here in Connecticut. Shadia Sarmiento was sentenced to time served. Prosecutors say she pplayed a minor role in a scheme that stole identities and defrauded timeshare owners of thousands. She faces deportation after serving her sentence.
