A Danbury man is facing animal cruelty charges after police say he abused his dog. 34 year old Adrian Dunkley was arrested following a neighbor’s complaint and video evidence allegedly showing him striking the animal. Police say Dunkley admitted to owning the dog for about a week but hadn’t registered or vaccinated it. Officers took custody of the dog, which was later turned over to animal control. Dunkley pleaded not guilty and is set for a pretrial hearing on April 21.
