Redding Man Jailed After Stabbing Mother In The Neck

A Redding man is facing multiple charges after allegedly stabbing his mother in the neck Sunday afternoon. Police say 38-year-old Michael Amari called 911, admitting to the attack and asking responders to “please come and save her.” Officers arrived at the Limekiln Road home, took Amari into custody, and then took the victim to Danbury Hospital with what were said to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Amari is being held on a $750,000 bond.
