Danbury Smoke Shops Raided

Three Danbury smoke shops are facing consequences after state and local authorities seized 55 pounds of illegal cannabis products, many packaged like candy and snacks aimed at kids. Connecticut Attorney General William Tong said some items had THC levels 24 times higher than the legal limit. One shop owner was arrested. Officials say the crackdown is part of a larger effort to stop unregulated marijuana sales, and the city may pause permits for new vape and tobacco retailers.
