Former Confined Man Now Speaking Out

A Connecticut man, now calling himself “S,” has gone public after what he says were 20 years of captivity by his father and stepmother. Rescued from a burning Waterbury home in February—a fire he says he set to escape—he described years of confinement, hunger, and no medical care since age 11. Now 32, he’s recovering and pursuing justice. His stepmother, Kimberly Sullivan meanwhile, faces kidnapping and assault charges and has pleaded not guilty.
