A Danbury woman was struck by a vehicle and killed in White Plains, New York on Monday afternoon. Police say 49-year-old Stacie Baumgartner was walking along a road just after 1 p.m. when a truck that was making a turn hit her. Baumgartner was taken to Westchester Medical Center, where she died from her injuries. The 29-year-old driver of the truck, whose name has not been released, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. So far, no charges have been filed and the whole thing remains under investigation.
