Students Learn With Underwater Robots

Danbury High School students took hands-on learning to a new level, piloting underwater robots in a 3,800-gallon pool. About 45 sophomores in the Academy of Art, Engineering and Design guided remote-operated vehicles through obstacle courses, using Xbox controllers. The event tied into lessons on transportation, fluid dynamics, coding, and engineering. School officials say it’s part of a larger push to connect students with real-world career paths through the district’s new academy model.
