New Online Tool Aims To Streamline Solar Project Siting In Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has launched a new online tool to help site large-scale solar projects while protecting natural resources. The tool, called CREST, was developed with UConn and uses GIS mapping to show suitable locations for solar development. CREST is free to the public and designed to make the permitting process more transparent and efficient. A public webinar is set for June 18 to demonstrate how it works.
