Connecticut renters are seeing rare relief. For the first time in years, average asking rents have dropped. Zillow says statewide rent listings through May 12 averaged $1,635 — down nearly $80 from April, a 4.6% dip. One-bedroom units fell by $86, and three-bedrooms dropped $183. While prices dipped here in Connecticut, rents continued rising in nearby states including New York and Rhode Island.
