Prosecutors have dropped charges against a 46 year old Danbury man involved in a January shooting in Brookfield that left two people injured.
Rithy Kim Kay had been charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. On Monday, the state effectively dismissed the case. The charges stemmed from a fight in the Happy Landings parking lot, where Kay and another man were both shot during a dispute reportedly involving a woman known to both men. The other man, Gerald Rutledge, still faces charges.
