New Fairfield Man Accused of Child Sex Abuse Material Gets New Attorney

A 67 year old New Fairfield man charged with possessing child sex abuse material has hired a new lawyer. John Fairchild is accused of having explicit images on a tablet seized during a December raid, which stemmed from an investigation into a fire that killed his wife. Fairchild, who was out on bond, missed a court hearing in June, but his new attorney has now filed an appearance. He’s due back in Danbury Superior Court on August 18. The investigation into his wife’s death remains open.
