Ritz Crackers Recalled Nationwide Over Peanut Labeling Error

Ritz crackers have been recalled not only here in Connecticut, but nationwide due to a labeling mistake that could pose a life-threatening risk to people with peanut allergies. The FDA says certain packages were mislabeled as cheese when they actually contain peanut butter. The recall includes select 8-, 20- and 40-count sandwich packs with “best by” dates ranging from November 1, 2025, to January 22, 2026. So far, no illnesses have been reported. Consumers with peanut allergies are urged to throw the products away.
