Connecticut Leaders Highlight Success of Housing Pilot Program

State officials are reviewing early results of the Urban Investment Initiative, a pilot program aimed at expanding affordable housing across Connecticut. Launched by the Department of Housing, the program targets cities like Danbury with high need based on income and overcrowding data. So far, investments have retrofitted homes and created new affordable units, with plans to expand statewide. Gov. Ned Lamont said the effort is focused on helping residents stay in their communities while easing housing costs.
