The Connecticut Humane Society’s new $17 million Pet Resource Center on Danbury Road in Wilton is nearing completion and set to open in August. The 15,000-square-foot facility will offer low-cost veterinary care, an adoption clinic, and a pet food pantry. The center replaces the Westport shelter and features modern medical suites, separate spaces for cats and dogs, and community rooms for education and events. The overall aim is to reduce pet surrenders by supporting owners and improving care. The project was fully funded through donations.
